It's always important to leave a lasting impression but it's inevitable that you may need to remind someone where you met them. This is a pitfall that is often overlooked when you're staying in front of your contacts. To avoid looking like a stranger amongst the barrage of emails, remind that bride to be where you met her with an opening statement. Chances are high that your openness will save your message from an immediate ‘delete’ and you will be able to use your connection as a leeway into the purpose of reaching out.
For example, if you met them at a recent Bridal Expo, start your message off with “We had the chance to connect at the <name of event> bridal expo and you left your information to receive my latest promotions. If you would no longer wish to receive messages from me, please unsubscribe here. No hard feelings :)”
Although she may have been overwhelmed at the expo, she may remember your conversation and look forward to receiving additional emails from you. And even if she doesn’t want to hear from you again, she will respect you for not trying to hide the intent of your message.
