Many people do not know the difference between suits and tuxedos so we have put together this blog post to explain the details. Suits are typically worn for work or less-formal events such as business meetings and attending weddings. Tuxedos are worn for more formal events such as if you’re in a wedding party, attending a school dance like prom, a charity events, or a black-tie affair.
However, dressing up for your wedding is really about the preference of you and your soon-to-be-wife. Some prefer tuxedos for a more elegant look and some prefer a suit for a more casual beach wedding. Two major considerations for choosing a suit vs. a tuxedo are the wedding gown and the venue. If the bride is wearing a gown, typically a tuxedo is the right choice; if the bride is wearing a more casual dress, then a suit will likely match her better. Just remember, you never want the wedding guests to be more dressed up than the groom!

It’s all about going the extra mile to take your decorative details to unexpected levels of pretty. A table overhang that perfectly frames a table or setup in a wonderfully whimsical way is a guaranteed way to achieve that magazine wow factor every single time. I may be biased though since I’ve got just a bit of a personal obsession with them. So here are a few examples to plead my case. You be the judge!

Although I am not a bride-to-be or a former bride, I am a to-be-bridesmaid! With countless friends who are preparing to walk down that aisle within the next 24 months, I get the pleasure of being a bridesmaid and #MOH!
While shopping for the bridesmaid dresses isn’t as important as picking out your perfect gown, it should be just as fun. Make sure you pick a style that not only represents your party but also you and your day!
So for all you brides-to-be, check out some of my all time favorite bridesmaid dresses – for every type of wedding:
Don't leave Mom out
By Isabel Rubinas
During the father-daughter dance, I saw my mom standing off to the side. I grabbed her and my brothers and we had a "family" dance instead. It was so sweet. My husband's family thought it was such a great idea, they did it too.
By Carolyn Kabes
I had the bridesmaids pick out the dress they were going to wear. I chose the color (chocolate brown) and I let them choose the style. I really liked the dress they chose, it flattered everyone.
I also let them choose their own shoes, jewelry and hair style. I wanted their personalities to come out, so all I asked was for the dress to be the same, everything else, they were on their own. It made for no complaints!
Take Advantage of Virtual Tours
By Courtney Smith
With hundreds of ceremony and reception locations in San Diego alone, it's impossible to see all of them in a reasonable amount of time. With a little help from technology, many locations now offer Online Virtual Tours so that brides can preview the style and size of a location without actually being there. Make sure to take advantage of this technology as you're planning your wedding.
Get the right shoes
By Lisa Tesitor
I actually bought some slippers that said bride and groom on them for the reception but thought they were silly. But, an hour into the reception, after walking around and saying hello, my feet were killing me.
I realized my dress would have hidden the slippers and I would have spent more time with friends and family if I had more comfortable shoes.
